Gaza Massacre | 1995 | Our Palestine

On the 28th of February 1955, the state of occupation launched its first military campaign on the Gaza Strip, which was then under Egyptian administration.

Regarding the crime of the assault on Gaza, it was encouraged by Moshe Dayan, who was the Chief of Staff at that time. Since taking this position in 1953, he sought to create mistakes that would fuel the military conflict, adopting the theory of "harassment and then retaliation" under the pretext of "revenge. " He was assisted in this by his mentor, Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion, who was the Minister of Defense at the time of the raid, in addition to being the head of the government. These were the positions with which the rule of "Israel" began.

The raid on Gaza began at 8:30 in the evening on February 28, 1955, as an Israeli paratroop force led by the notorious Ariel Sharon crossed the armistice line into the Gaza Strip in an operation called "Operation Black Arrow. "

A group of that force demolished the water station and blew it up, while another attacked the residence of the director of the Gaza railway station. They also targeted the Egyptian forces' camp near the station.

The camp commander requested assistance from the nearest Egyptian military site, and indeed; the trucks carrying soldiers hurried to respond to the call. This was what Israel apparently wanted, as the incoming force fell into the ambush set by the Israelis on the road, resulting in 39 martyrs and 33 wounded.
