Regarding torture and theft of martyrs' organs: In February 1988, around two months after the outbreak of the first Intifada, Israeli forces in Gaza tortured the Palestinian Christian Khedr Terzi (for 20 years) after his arrest. They then crucified him on the front of a military jeep before transferring him in critical condition to Ansar 2 prison. After pressure from prisoners, he was transferred to a hospital under occupation control, but they refused to admit him, leading to his martyrdom. It was later revealed that the occupation had stolen organs from his body. Khedr Terzi was the brother of the released prisoner Kamal Terzi, who spent seven years in occupation prisons (1987-1994). *In the attached video is an interview with Khedr's father and an eyewitness to what happened to him, documenting also Palestinian victims, including an elderly lady, who was assaulted. This is from a television report by Thames TV in March 1988.

Abu Ammar was martyred, and Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, and all the leaders of Hamas, and Abu Ali Mustafa... and thousands of martyrs... But our people had the will and determination." - Martyr Sheikh Saleh Al-Arouri

The importance of obtaining the title of "prisoner of war" through a prisoner exchange deal overseen by the International Committee of the Red Cross lies in the symbolism and legitimacy it brings to the struggle between us and the enemy. The late Palestinian activist and freed prisoner Mahmoud Hijazi explained this concept to a group of young girls at a Palestinian camp in preparation for their lives in Yemen, where he lived for years after his release.

Sabra and Shatila | After the massacre, Mohammed Hashem, a Lebanese Red Cross official, says: "We used to enter Sabra and Shatila and pull the bodies to a large square towards the sports city. We would keep the bodies uncovered so that the families could identify the person... In the afternoon, if there was anyone left unrecognized, we would bury them... After the bulldozer dug a grave... We worked daily for a week, burying large numbers... How can one imagine an entire area planted with corpses?" **Beirut 1982: Testimonies from the days of siege and occupation (2) - Lebanese journalist Mona Sukaria.
