On May 21, 1948, Zionist terrorists besieged the village of Beit Daras, located northeast of the city of Gaza. They called on Palestinian citizens to peacefully leave the village from the southern side. The terrorists quickly claimed the lives of the unarmed villagers, including women, children, and elderly, as they were departing the village following the instructions of the besieging force. The same village had already faced multiple Zionist attacks in March and April of 1948. After the Zionist terrorists demolished the village's homes and burned its fields, they established two settlements in its place.
