At five o’clock in the morning of April 11, 1974, the group stormed the settlement of Kiryat Shmona, near the displaced village of Al-Khalsaliya of Safed district, where they took control of a school and a block consisting of 15 apartments and held a number of hostages, after a fierce battle with the occupation forces.
The fedayeen distributed leaflets in Arabic and Hebrew in the settlement saying
“You have two options either to leave or to die, so leave to live in peace and renounce your leadership that chose death for you to serve its goals.”
The group’s heroes applied for the release of one hundred fedayeen prisoners detained in Zionist-Nazi prisons and cells, according to their seniority in captivity since 1966. Among them is the Japanese fedayeen “Kuzuaokamoto” who is sentenced to life in prison and participating in the 1972 Lid airport operation.
The Zionist authorities rejected the demands of the heroic fedayeen. And it reinforced its Nazi forces, heavily armed with all kinds of weapons in the colony. She then launched an attack on the building where the hostages were being held. A violent battle took place between the fighters of the martyrdom unit and the forces of the Zionist enemy.
After a clash with enemy forces that tried to storm the building, and after they ran out ammunition from heroic fedayeen, they carried out the plan, which is to blow up the building after they planted IEDs in various places of it.
The operation resulted in the martyrdom of the three heroic fedayeen. And death /18/ Zionist.. /15 / others were wounded in addition to the great Zionist material losses, according to the enemy’s recognition.
The operation made the Zionist entity crazy, and large demonstrations took out against the occupation government.
