Shuja'iya Neighborhood Massacre
On Thursday, May 1, 2003, the Palestinian territories witnessed a tragic day. Sixteen Palestinians, including an infant, were martyred, and more than 35 others were wounded in an escalatory aggression by the Israeli occupation forces, particularly in the Shuja'iya neighborhood east of Gaza City.
In the early hours of Thursday, the Israeli forces, supported by dozens of military vehicles, tanks, bulldozers, and under the cover of Apache helicopters, invaded the Shuja'iya neighborhood. They perpetrated a heinous massacre, claiming the lives of 14 martyrs, including three children, one of whom was a baby. Additionally, sixty-five people were injured.
