The First Al-Fakhoura School Massacre | Our Palestine

On January 6, 2009, the Israeli forces bombed the Al-Fakhoura School, which is affiliated with UNRWA, in Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip. The airstrike resulted in the tragic loss of 42 lives, including 13 children and 6 women. Additionally, 50 civilians were injured, including 15 children and 10 women. The school served as a refuge for hundreds of civilians who had been displaced from areas in Beit Lahia and Jabalia, northeast of Gaza City, due to the ongoing destructive and indiscriminate Israeli bombardment.
