Do you know what is the Zoanda? | Foremost crimes of the occupation

#Zoanda | Forced Feeding

Three prisoners martyred during the Nafha prison hunger strike in 1980, after resisting forced feeding with the "Zoanda", where the occupation forces would force-feed prisoners by inserting the Zoanda tube into their nasal passages, then fill it with water and dissolved salt.

The three martyrs are:

Ali Al-Jaafari, Rasem Halaoua, and Issac Maragha.

"In the case of Ali Al-Jaafari, with his emaciated body, they tried to coerce him to break the strike, and he replied that he would do so under two conditions: either you meet our demands or you betray my manhood. He added: and a man like me cannot betray his manhood. And so it was until he was martyred.

As for Rasem Halaoua, his bulging muscles provoked the guards, so they intensified the torture according to the same scenario. And while he was dying, they tried to coerce him to break the strike afterward, but he swore by the Lord of the worlds not to do so, and signaled to the prisoners not to do it. Issac Maragha, the fifty-year-old, with his perpetual paternal smile, did not withstand the same torture, and he was martyred later due to the salt and water in his lungs.
