Zionist Massacres - The Jerusalem Holy Sanctuary Massacre (Beginning of the Uprising)

The Jerusalem Holy Sanctuary Massacre (Beginning of the Uprising) | Our Palestine

On September 29, 2000, just before thousands of worshipers finished performing the Friday prayer at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, the Israeli occupation forces opened fire on them, committing a massacre that resulted in the martyrdom of thirteen Palestinians and the injury of 475, including seven worshipers who were shot with rubber bullets in their eyes, leading to immediate blindness.

The events occurred in the context of the provocative visit by the perpetrator Sharon to the Al-Aqsa Mosque on September 28, 2000, accompanied by six Likud parliamentarians, amid a state of alert involving 3,000 Israeli soldiers and police. A large number of Palestinians confronted them, leading to a confrontation in which 25 members of the Israeli "Border Police" were injured, while 12 Palestinians were injured by the soldiers' live ammunition.
