Aa'jleen Massacre
The area of "Sheikh Aa'jleen" south of the city of Gaza witnessed a new massacre, claiming the lives of four martyrs and injuring five from one family when the occupation tanks shelled their home on the evening of Wednesday, August 28, 2002.
Eyewitnesses reported that the occupation forces penetrated hundreds of meters into the "Sheikh Ajleen" area amid artillery shelling and indiscriminate heavy machine gun fire towards the homes of civilians. A Palestinian medical source stated that the four martyrs are Rawda Al-Hajin and her son Muhammad, Ashraf Othman Al-Hajin, and his sister Nahed.
The occupation forces obstructed the arrival of Palestinian ambulances to the massacre site for more than an hour.
