The Seventh Brigade

The Seventh Brigade, also known as the “Sheva Brigade,” was an armored brigade of the Israeli army that participated in Operation Hiram to occupy Upper Galilee in October 1948.

During the operation, the brigade participated in the occupation of several Palestinian villages, most notably Qaddita, Mirun, Safsaf, Jish, Sa‘sa‘, Dayshum, Marus, al-Ras al-Ahmar, Saliha, Fara, and Kafr Bir‘im. Its advance also reached the al-Malikiyya area. The occupation of most of these villages resulted in the displacement of their inhabitants and their complete or partial destruction.
