Bilata, Jenin, Sabra and New Shatila Massacre

The Jenin camp witnessed a real war, with clashes between Palestinian militants and the occupying forces. The Israeli forces did not enter the camp on foot but used tanks that destroyed its infrastructure. They spared nothing, targeting networks of pipes, telephone and electricity poles, sewage lines, school fences, and houses. In addition to demolishing anything that hindered their movement inside the camp, there was intense shelling with heavy machine guns from tanks and Apache helicopters. This assault continued for three days (February 28 to March 2, 2002).

In the camps of Jenin and Balata, 31 martyrs fell, and more than 300 were injured. Among the martyrs was the young man Mohammed Mufid, who had special needs. Israeli soldiers even staged his corpse after killing him and left him on the ground. The next morning, the residents of Jenin camp found parts of the martyr's brain scattered on the ground.
